The hydraulic auger drill for excavator, also known as the rotary drilling rig, is a spiral blade drilling machine. It is mainly composed of a drill frame, a power head, a auger rod, a drill bit and other parts. Among them, the drill frame is the main structure that supports the entire equipment, the power head provides power for the drill rod and the drill bit, and the auger rod and the drill bit are directly involved in the drilling operation.
The working principle of the auger drill is to transmit power to the drill rod and the drill bit through the hydraulic oil supplied by the excavator through the hydraulic motor and the reduction box in the drive head. Because the drill rod is a spiral blade, the drilling method presents the characteristics of vortex advance and retreat, hence the name auger drill.
